School Hours
Daily: 8:20AM - 2:30PM
School Office: 8:00AM - 3:00PM
After-School Program
There will be recreation time for approximately 1 hour each day which will take place either in the gym or schoolyard. Students will have a snack provided to them. Time will be allotted for homework. Students will be supervised and receive assistance where necessary. Individual tutoring is not provided during this time. On days there is early dismissal, 1/2 days, students must bring their lunch. Payment must be made in advance for the day or week. Students will not be accepted unless payment has been made. Please fill out a registration and emergency contact form.
Hours: from dismissal until 6PM. Every additional 15 minutes will be $3.00.
Fees: $9.00/day, $40.00/week, $12.00 on early dismissal days.
All parents and guardians must enter the school using the main entrance on 101st Avenue. Adults are not to use the student entrances.
Calendars
A monthly calendar is published. This calendar should be consulted for specials events and changes in the regular schedule.
- Doors will be opened at 8:10AM, 10 minutes before the regular bell.
- Students are to enter through their regular entrances:
K-4th Grades: enter through the door in the large schoolyard on 104th Street
5th Grade: enter through the side door on 101st Avenue
6th Grade: enter through the side door on the North side of the building on 105th Street
7-8th Grades: enter through the side door on the South side of the building on 105th Street
In cases of severe weather or other emergencies the closing of school will be announced on the radio. WINS AM 1010 and WCBS AM 880 will carry the announcements of the closing. If NYC Public Schools or the schools of the Diocese of Brooklyn are closed, St. Mary Gate of Heaven will be closed. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE RECTORY FOR INFORMATION.
